MINERVA TRIPLEDATE VALJOUX 723 a.k.a 72c TRIPLEDATE CALENDAR
CHRONOGRAPH + ORIGINAL MINERVA BOX
A very rare and highly sought after
vintage Valjoux 723(a.k.a 72C) MINERVA Tripledate/calendar
chronograph Circa 1964.
It has the look closely approximate the Vintage Rolex Model Ref:
6236, which is the vintage version of triplecalendar chronograph
from Rolex which also used the SAME Valjoux movement. But of course
the price of the ROLEX verison is astronomical now !!!!! Thus the
potential value appreciation of this MINERVA version cannot and
should not be under-estimated.
As you are aware MINERVA vintage chronographs are very hard to come
by and one with this complication and high grade Valjoux 72c
movement is highly sought after !!!!
AND THIS ONE COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL BOX !!!!!!!!!!!!!

ORIGINAL silvered dial with 30 minute,
12 hour and subsidiary second registers. Apertures for Day and
Month, outer Date Graduation with applied Steel Markers. The dial is
in NEAR MINT. All details are fully legible and clear.
Original BLUED steel hands. Ooriginal blued steel date pointer with
red Crescent tip. The watch has a very CLASSIC design that is
simple looking on the outside yet you know it is technologically
sophisticated and complicated on the inside.

Housed in its UNPOLISHED condition FULL Stainless Steel
Original case. ONLY VERY Light signs of wear on the back case.
The LARGE Case measures 36mm excluding crown, 39 including and
42mm from lug to lug.
Look at
the crown man.....and the protruding tripledate pushers !!!!!

Original mechanical winding movement MINERVA signed SEVENTEEN 17
Jewels, Cal. 723 (Valjoux) a.k.a 72c, "c" for calendar. Shock
Protection, Incabloc i.e. shockproof. SAME Movement used on
ROLEX Model Ref: 6236 !!!
Movement keeps very good time and Chronograph and all calendar
functions including correction pushers operate perfectly.
Pushers start, stop and reset/flyback perfectly.
It comes complete with its original Vintage MINERVA Watch box in
NEAR MINT CONDITION.
Fitted
with a vintage watch strap. The buckle featured is part of my
private collection and is not included in the sale. |
