The Flying Officer - "The Watch that Helped our Allied Forces Win World War II". With the ability to calculate changes in time zones as a pilot crossed over lines of longitude, the Flying Officer is one of the most renowned and respected military use timepieces ever created. The original Flying Officer model evolved directly from the world famous Gallet MultiChron, the first fully waterproof wrist worn chronograph. A rotating 12 hour bezel and dial indications for the world's major cities was added to the MultiChron, making it possible to easily calculate changes in the time as an aircraft flew across lines of longitude. Developed upon specific request by United States Air Force, this ground breaking new timepiece was issued exclusively to pilots of the allied forces who flew the missions to our victory during WWII. After the war, the Flying Officer became the watch of choice for both commercial and private aviators across the globe.

Guess what? The 33rd US president Harry S Truman had one of this Gallet Flying Officer Chronograph too!!!

This is a very rare and highly sought after vintage Valjoux 723(a.k.a 72C) HEUER CARRERA 12 DATO REF:2547S Tripledate/calendar chronograph Circa 1964.

It has the look closely approximate the Vintage Rolex Model Ref: 6236, which is the vintage version of triplecalendar chronograph from Rolex which also used the SAME Valjoux movement. But of course the price of the ROLEX version is astronomical (more than US$100,000) now !!!!!    Thus the potential value appreciation of this HEUER version cannot and should not be under-estimated.

C: Housed in a very good ORIGINAL UNPOLISHED condition FULL Stainless Steel Original case with snapback. The LARGE Case measures 36mm excluding crown, 39 including and 42mm from lug to lug. Original Heuer signed crown and original round water proof pushers.

D: ORIGINAL silvered dial with 30 minute, 12 hour and subsidiary second registers. Apertures for Day and Month, outer Date Graduation with applied Steel Markers. Although there used to be an Ingenieur with a stopwatch function, what has never existed before is one with a fully fledged mechanical chronograph. Now, all that has changed with the arrival of THIS Ingenieur Chronograph from IWC, with its automatic 79350 calibre chronograph movement, small seconds hand with stop function and a chronograph with a central seconds hand and 30-minute counter. It has everything you would expect of a precision timepiece. And because the 4 Hz movement is able to display times to an accuracy of one-eighth of a second.

Another example of the watch's high-tech design is the outstanding reliability of the timing functions. This is guaranteed by the push buttons, which are an integral part of the case. Despite these additional features, the Ingenieur Chronograph is as pure a piece of traditional watchmaking as you could wish to find.

Founded by Paul Arthur Schwarz and his wife Olga Etienne, the company quickly established itself. True forerunners of the watch industry, SCHWARZ ETIENNE operated several factories involved in design and assembly. Its know-how and mastery in watch design became a real benchmark. SCHWARZ ETIENNE thus obtained the concession to continue producing movements, even when they were subject to quotas and controlled by Ebauche SA. Its complications were to be found in brands such as Venus, Levrette, Glorys, Alpha and Astin, which were all part of its customer circle.

BUT MOST OF THEM ARE WITHOUT CHRONOGRAPH FUNCTION. Watch case measures 35mm x 35mm excluding crown. Leather case measures 60mm by 44mm.

D: Original 2 tone silver/grey dial aged evenly with nice patina, very charming, indeed. Love the layout of the dial especially the large numbers, 3 & 9 with straight line markers. So clear and simple. Not to mention the 2 tone effect which enhances the profile of the chronograph registers. The register at 12:00 records the time lapsed upto 30 minutes and the one at 6:00 shows the constant seconds hand. Original blued steel hands. Look at the extra broad hour and minute hands !!! Some serious considerations have been put in on the design table...

M: High grade manual winding Swiss made SINGLE BUTTON chronograph movement in very clean condition. Watch keeps good time. Chronograph functions work accordingly.

As you are probably aware, ZENITH has an exact model named ESPADA with similar features. This is because Zenith and Movado were sister companies in the 1960's-70's. As evidenced in one of the pictures, with a product tagline "MOVADO - A ZENITH TIME PRODUCT".

I understand that according to the Zenith archives; only 200 of these were ever produced: 100 Movado Astronics and 100 Zenith Espadas.... So this is a very desirable and hard to find complicated timepiece, the value of which will only appreciate over time. Be ONE OF THE ONLY FEW in the world to own this beautiful timepiece now !!!!!

1919 saw their first chronograph for the wrist. This single-button model developed throughout the roaring twenties as the flagship model of the aspiring brand.In 1930, Eberhard & Co. Iaunched its first wristwatch with automatic winding. The 1930s saw Eberhard & Co. as suppliers to the royal Italian navy. In 1935, the brand introduced its first two-button chronograph that enabled repeated stops and starts, and in 1938 chronographs with 30-minute and 12-hour elapsed-time counters, LIKE THIS ONE, were available.

A very nice condition RARE ROLEX TUDOR PRE-TIGER chronograph. Ca.1980s. Reference 94200.

The "Tiger" models from the Tudor watch line came about after Tiger Woods signed a contract with Rolex to represent the company in 1997. The model we present here is the Pre-Tiger Model (a model that was still fitted with Rolex Crown and case before they replaced them with TUDOR'S own signature) which is highly sought after now by collectors. With the ever increasing prices of Rolex Daytonas, this older version of Rolex/Tudor Chronograph is definitely a keeper.

D: Original black dial with best color (BLACK & WHITE) combination you can find on a pre-TIGER. Dial in VERY GOOD condition. Signed TUDOR OYSTERDATE AUTOMATIC CHRONO TIME, T SWISS T. ARDATH 18K SINGLE BUTTON

Vintage 1920/30s 18k Solid Gold Single Button Chronograph
It has been a while since I last saw one of this - A true vintage chronograph from the ART DECO Era.
Most that you may have seen are either with a bad dial, bad case and chronograph functions not working well. Which is easy to understand due to the age of the watch. This one is one of the few exceptions.
Housed in a 18K Solid Gold Hinged back case with dust cover. Back case signed 18K - 0.750 - gold hallmark - ref # 132 - another # 4059. The case is in very good condition and the hinge work is excellent. Original Olive pusher in very good condition too. Worth mentioning is the fixed lug which is Broad and thick, not the usual thin type.
The best part would be the 100% Original charming looking dial with art deco numerals and spiral Tachometer scale, the combination of which makes it so very adorable to admire and proud to strap on your wrist. The Dial is signed ARDATH and is in very good condition, how is that for a vintage like this. It even has its Original BLUED STEEL hands set.
Mechanical winding movement keeps very good time. All chronograph functions work perfectly too. Fitted with a brand new Hirsch high grade fixed lugs type strap.
