This is something that is pretty rare as Ranchero was only made for two years (1957 & 1958), and sold for two (1958 & 1959). The movement that was used in the Ranchero was Omega's famous "30 mm" hence the dial is also signed 30 mm. The Ranchero was offered in both a sub seconds & sweep seconds. The Sub-seconds versions used either a caliber 267 or 268 movement with case reference CK 2990. The Sweep second version would have a caliber 284 and a case reference of CK 2996. The outer caseback is stamped "WATERPROOF".
Well, this
is probably
one of the
nicest Omega
Diver one
could have
in his
collection.
Nicknamed
the Banana
200
Seamaster, a
highly
collectible
& relatively
rare model
of the late
60s
Seamaster
range.
Rumored to
have been
worn by
French
military
divers,
the bright
yellow face
was designed
to increase
visibility
in
low-light,
nautically
submerged
conditions,
under water.
The
yellow dial
gives off
such
cheerful
hue,
especially
one that
comes with
its original
T dial and
original
hand sets
that have
aged
gracefully
over the
years !!!
