Memosail Valjoux 7737 COLORFUL Yacht Chronograph Watch, 1970s.

D/ Original dial with various details. Before the start of a sailboat race, there are two guns, the first gun signals that the race will start in 10 minutes. At the 10-minute gun the sailors start their count down functions and maneuver their boats as close to the start line as possible for the start. The countdown numbers are large so the skipper can instantly see how much time has elapsed. The countdown chronograph is very unusual in that it is a wheel beneath the dial much like a date wheel. In the stopped position, the wheel displays "START". When the chronograph is activated with the pusher at 2 o'clock, the timer begins and the orange sweep hand is set into action. At 30 seconds, the wheel does a half turn and at 60 seconds it does a full turn to indicate 1 minute of elapsed time. The number 10 will also come into view on the wheel, which is the first minute that has elapsed of the 10-minute countdown. This will continue for 10 minutes until the wheel has fully revolved, and countdown passes the 1 minute mark and the race begins. The first 5 minutes of the wheel are yellow with black numbers, and the last five minutes are red with white numbers. It can also be used for a 15-minute timer as the word "START" is broken up into 5 letters, which can be used as a 15-minute countdown. Edouard Heuer was passionate about precision. When he founded his workshop in 1860, he had only one aim: taking time measurement to greater heights. Since then, the company has always been in the avant-garde of watchmaking, whether in terms of technology, the choice of materials or design. To mark its 125th Jubliee Anniversary, the group launched a series of nice timepieces including this rare and nice complicated moonphases/date chronograph Model ref:188.205. Circa 1980s.

ED HEUER & CIE MOONPHASE CHRONO

A historical HEUER complicated Moonphase chronograph to mark its 125th Anniversary.
D/ 100% original and MINT Condition beautiful silver dial with black ART DECO numerals signed ED HEUER & CIE, SWISS. Red tachymeter. There are 7 ORIGINAL BLUED STEEL hands altogether on this complicated timepiece. The register at 12:00 is the moonphase plus date disc, the one at 9:00 for the subsidiary second hand, 30 minute register at 3:00 and 12 hour register at 6:00. The 4 registers are framed with gold ring to give them contrast to the pearly white silver dial. The Moonphase/date disc is intentionally enlarged to give the owner an easy reading of the date of the day as this is probably the most used function on a daily basis. C/ Housed in its original gold-filled top case (with light signs of wear) with stainless steel back case measuring 34mm excluding crown, 37mm including and 41mm from lug to lug. Look at the lugs, with special design matching the stepped design of the bezel. **Enameling is a unique genre of the fine arts. It begins when a special vitreous material is melted in a kiln at a temperature of circa 1,200 degree Celsius, followed by cold shock procedure called quenching before it is mixed with fine enamel powder and applied evenly onto a thoroughly cleaned metal substrate. Afterwards, the object is fired in a special kiln at temperatures ranging between 800 and 900 degree Celsius. Enamel's peculiar vulnerability to flaws at this phase in the work results from the surface tensions which arise during this stage of the manufacturing process. ALL THESE WERE DONE BY HAND !! Considering the extraordinary high percentage of imperfect specimens which emerge from the kiln, it is little wonder that enamel dials are comparatively costly and that watches equipped with such dials, especially those with PERFECT DIALS are precious rarities.

D/ MINT Condition PERFECT (NO CRACKS, NO HAIRLINES) enamel dial. Signed ZENITH with nice details in black and red scripts. Art deco black numerals . 2 Registers showing 30 minutes counter at 3:00 and subsidiary seconds at 9:00. Original blued steel hands. C/ Special case with unique lugs design. A special design feature seen on some Omega and Minerva chronographs of the same era and they were all sold for astronomical prices. Single button/pusher. Case measures 32mm excluding crown. Comes with a high grade leather strap specially hand made for the watch. M/ Mechanical winding valjoux 23 movement, just serviced and keeps accurate time.

Very soothing to the eyes, the exact reason why I personally adore these early porcelain dial watches. Like your vintage porcelain vases, the details will not fade away with the passing of time...... A passion fired ** to the max.

Original Flat pushers & Heuer signed crown. Very cute rare small baby size measuring 32mmx34mmx38mm. About the size of a Singapore 50cents coin. M/ High Grade, Swiss Made, manual winding chronograph movement.

ZENITH EL PRIMERO AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH, PHC 3019 MOVEMENT

The world's FIRST AUTOMATIC chronograph.produced by Zenith in their close race with the Buren Group (Heuer, Breitling, Hamilton and Buren) to create and market the world's first automatic chronograph. A true piece of chronograph history. Circa 1969/71.

D/ Original dial in VERY VERY GOOD condition. With luminous markers, aperture for DATE at 4.30 o'clock position. Luminous hands. I personally fancy the red chrono flyback hand. C/ Original tonneau shaped case Diam. 37 mm excluding crown, 40mm including, lug to lug 42mm.Original Zenith crown with its famous STAR logo. Outer case back with a large logo and inner case back signed as well. M/ Thirty-One jewel automatic column wheel chronograph movement fully signed and marked 3019 PHC with the rotor marked ‘Zenith 31 jewels Swiss Made’.

PONTIAC FLEXI LUGS CHORNOGRAPH
VERY NICE ORIGINAL DIAL, 1940s

A very unusual & rare flexi lugs chronograph by PONTIAC with beautiful original dial with nice details. 1940s. Looks like an old Minerva chronograph (see last pic) with similar case design that I have been hunting for years with no avail.

D/ Original grey dial with bronze TELEMETRE details around the edge of the dial. 2 registers with luminous markers and original hands set. C/ Original stainless steel snap back case with flexi lugs. Reminds me of an old Minerva chronograph with similar case design (See last picture). Case measures 33mm excluding crown, 35mm including & 50, yes 50mm from lug to lug!!!! M/ 17 jewels mechanical winding movement keeps accurate time & all chronograph functions work properly.

Highly Collectible Rare Zenith EL PRIMERO Pilot Chronograph, Circa 1975. As you are aware, EL Primero is one of the movements used by ROLEX on its bestseller, the DAYTONA chronographs. Rolex has done the evaluation and adopted this movement, it is a true testament to its quality!

D/ 100% original beautiful matt BLUE dial signed "ZENITH Automatic El Primero, SWISS MADE". Applied outer Tachymetre scale with raised hour markers, raised Zenith logo, three framed sub dials, and original sapphire crystal. 3 registers - subsidiary seconds at 9:00, 30 minutes counter at 3:00 and 12 HOURS counter at 6:00. Date window between 4:00 and 5:00 position. Original hands set. Original crown with Zenith logo. Original crystal with light signs of wear. C/ EXTRA LARGE AND HEAVY FULL Stainless steel WATER RESISTANT Original case in GOOD condition, with light signs of wear. Original Steel Screw back waterproof case is signed with its logo, BREVET + 487449, P I 6734, 2-72. Huge case Measuring 44mm excluding crown, 47mm including and 42mm from lug to lug. Original ZENITH signed crown. Outer rotatable bezel with light signs of wear. M/ 100% original Extremely High Grade 31 jewels Legendary ZENITH SWISS MADE 3019 PHC automatic movement in very clean condition. It runs strong, keeps accurate time, all chronograph functions in good working order, all chronograph hands return to 0. Chronograph pushers start, stop and reset perfectly.

Fitted with its 100% original HEAVY and THICK stainless steel bracelet signed with ZENITH logo at its clasp, original to the watch.
