LE PHARE 17 JEWELS AUTOMATIC TRIPLEDATE CALENDAR MOONPHASES,  Circa 1950s 

OMEGA Stainless steel "Cosmic" watch with full calendar and moonphase. Ca 1947s.  When watches with a full calendar and phases of the moon gained popularity, Omega developed such a model.  It was one of the novelties of 1947 and carried the name "Cosmic", which although did not appear on the dial of the watches, are well known amongst the collectors.

Well, we are glad to present this EARLIER & RARER model with movement Cal. 27DLPCAM.   You usually see the subsequent version ( CLICK HERE TO SEE eg ) with movements numbered 381 since 1949.

D: Original silver Dial in VERY VERY VERY GOOD condition.  This is more than 60 years old, mind you.  Don't we just hope that we will look this good when we get there?  Apertures for Day and Month,  Moon & outer blue Date-Graduation. Original hands set with blue date pointer.  Personally, love this original baby blue hand. Makes date telling so much more interesting :O)

C: Original Stainless steel snap back case fully signed and hallmarked "OMEGA FAB.SUISSE SWISS.MADE ACIER STAYBRITE  2471/1".  Snap back case measures 34mmx 36mm x 41mm.  Original Omega signed crown.

M: original mechanical winding movement signed "OMEGA WATCH CO SWISS CAL.27DLPCAM (which was subsequently numbered 381 in 1949)  SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS, 11201893".  Watch keeps accurate time. Tripledate and moonphases functions work perfectly.

Beautiful original dial in MINT condition with extremely clear and fully legible details.  SUN Phase register for day below 12 0'clock. How does it work?  Well, the Sunphase disc rotates on a 24 hours basis and works as a DAY indicator, very interesting indeed.  Subsidiary second register at 6:00. Outer Date Graduation. Original set of hands with Original date indicator with red tip.

Very very cute small size moonphase, smaller than the GALLET BABY Chrono which measures 28mm without crown.  How small?  Well, it is just slightly bigger than a SINGAPORE 20cents coin, that is how small it is !!!!!!!

A VERY Fine and EXTREMELY RARE 18K SOLID GOLD UNIVERSAL TRICOMPAX Ca 1942 gentleman's wrist watch with square buttons chronograph, triple date and moonphases.  Universal Tricompax has always been a highly sought after complicated vintage watch, especially so in the current market.  This is 18K soIid gold, THE MOST DESIRABLE OF THEM ALL !!!!!

D: Original gold tone dial with applied markers showing: subsidiary seconds at 9:00, 30 minutes register, 12 hours chronograph totaliser, the date of the month, outer tachometer graduation, apertures for the days of the week and the months of the year (BOTH IN ENGLISH) and the lunations i.e. moonphases.   Matching gold hands with blued steel subsidiary hands.   Look at the Red date pointer, it is not only so cute looking it makes date telling a lot easier too !!!!!

M: Original UNIVERSAL Signed mechanical winding movement keeps accurate time. All chronograph functions work accordingly.

Universal was founded in 1894.  It was renamed Universal GENEVE following its relocation to Geneva.   Since 1936, Universal has introduced many complicated timepieces and two of the better known ones are aero-compax and Tri-compax.   Tri-compax, in particular, was the MOST Complicated timepiece ever produced by UNIVERSAL as it houses complicated movement with complete features indicating time, triple-date, chronograph and moonphases, all in one compact watch case !!!!   

A very nice complicated wristwatch with very simple design. By IWC.  Most perpetual calendar watches have correctors/pushers at the side of the watch for quickset/corrections purposes and require some skills & care when you want to change the date etc.  This is an early example of solution to the above headache, as all changes are made through the crown...quite an interesting piece.

C: Housed in a NEAR MINT condition rectangular 18 k Yellow Gold Case with screw back. The case measures 41mm  by  27mm with a 22mm strap.  The vintage style large onion crown with screw down mechanism warrants its water resistance.

C: NEAR MINT condition 100% original Beautiful 18K Yellow Gold, slightly tonneau case with 4 screws at the back.  Many moonphases are round, this is something different !!   The case shows a little bit of oxidisation which gives it a little ROSE GOLD look (which can easily be removed), a sweet evidence that the watch has been stored away and hardly worn.

M: Original AP Signed Automatic Cal.2124 ref:288925,  33 jewels AUTOMATIC movement in very very clean and nice condition. For me, what makes this watch so great are its many complications!!! Six hands and three discs make the following functions possible:

1. Hour of the day--12 hrs

2. Minute of the hour

3. Subsidiary seconds hand

4. Chronograph 30 Minute register with Jumping hand

5. Chronograph Hour register with 12 hour capacity

6. Day of the Week window

7. Month of the Year window

8. Date aperture at 4:00

9. Moon phase indication.

Other than perpetual calendar function (which will cost you astronomically), this timepiece is probably as complicated as one can get and the  functions are all within a watch case which you can wear on your wrist.

Vintage 1970s MOVADO ASTRONIC HS 360 , 31 JEWELS , SUPER SUB SEA Tripledate Moonphase Chronograph.  Circa 1972.    As you are probably aware, ZENITH has an exact model named ESPADA with similar features.  This is because Zenith and Movado were sister companies in the 1960's-70's.  As evidenced in one of the pictures, with a product tagline  "MOVADO -  A ZENITH TIME PRODUCT".

I understand that according to the Zenith archives; only 200 of these were ever produced: 100 Movado Astronics and 100 Zenith Espadas....  So this is a very desirable and hard to find complicated timepiece, the value of which will only appreciate over time.  Be ONE OF THE ONLY FEW in the world to own this beautiful timepiece now !!!!!

D: VERY NICE condition 100% Original SILVER dial is signed MOVADO ASTRONIC HS360 SWISS MADE with:

An Extremely Good looking, solid, heavy, large 18K Rose/Pink Gold Omega Numbered Limited Production Museum Re-edition Cosmic Tripledate/calendar Moonphase. 

Purchased in April 2005, 2 months old when we got it.   Worn only a couple of times. Like new in box with papers and Tag, Push piece tool, Guarantee Card dated 13 April 2005, Original Omega Wooden Lacquered Box and best of, actual factory issued packaging material for this watch.

A re-edition model that is extremely faithful to its old version from the dial layout, to its case and lugs design.

If you have been staring at the vintage OMEGA SQUARE COSMIC MOONPHASE in the old watch catalogues and tried in vain to get hold of one, you may want to take a look at this one.

The desire to make at least some of the museum’s fantastic historical pieces available to today’s customers gave rise to the OMEGA Museum Collection.

The criteria for selection as a Museum Collection piece are relatively simple: the watch must be at least 50 years old and have a certain degree of historical significance. Once selected, the design of the original watch is reproduced faithfully, whilst its specifications are wherever possible brought into line with the latest technical standards. Every year, a new watch is presented as a special edition with a production quantity identical to the year of the original model.

D: Original silver/ cream dial OMEGA with its logo, SWISS MADE.  Raised gilt five minute markers, outer date ring with central date pointer hand. The dark blue date numerals gives a distinct contrast over the minute markers , making date telling easier.

Apertures for the days of the week, the months (both in English) with subsidiary seconds hand over the lunations i.e. moonphases register.   Original Hands Set. Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment.

C: 100% MINT Condition (without a single scratch) Huge Square FULL SOLID 18K ROSE / PINK GOLD with SPECIAL lug design and domed crystal.   Look at the lugs, beautifully designed and shaped.

Back case signed OMEGA No. 282 with Watch reference number, matching that shown on the warranty card and the factory packaging material.

Case measures 33mm excluding crown, 35mm including and 45mm from lug to lug.

M: Omega Cal 2601 self-winding movement, keeps very good time and all day, date and moonphases functions operate properly. Water resistance 50meters.

Highly Collectible Fine astronomic Ca 1942, 14ct gold UNIVERSAL TRICOMPAX gentleman's wrist watch with square buttons chronograph, triple date and moonphases. 

D:  100% original Gold tone dial with arabic numerals and auxiliary dials for the seconds, the 12 hours and 30 minutes registers.   Outer tachometer graduation, apertures for the days of the week, the months and the lunations i.e. moonphases and date of the month.

As you are probably aware, Universal was founded in 1894.  It was renamed Universal GENEVE following its relocation to Geneva. Since 1936, Universal has introduced many complicated timepieces and two of the better known ones are aero-compax and Tri-compax. 

Tri-compax, in particular, was the MOST Complicated timepiece ever produced by UNIVERSAL as it houses complicated movement with complete features indicating time, triple-date, chronograph and moonphases, all in one compact watch case !!!!

As the Maison Suisse d'Horlogerie Eberhard & Co. celebrates its centenary, it takes the opportunity on this occasion to introduce its Navymaster chronographs collection, with an inscription on the dial commemorating those two important dates (1887 -1987) to mark Eberhard & Co’s 100 YEARS (1887-1987) ANNIVERSARY.

D: Original complicated dial in NEAR MINT condition with clear scripts showing : Apertures for day and month below 12:00 position with 30 minute chronograph counter, Date indicator hand with crescent tip, Moonphase with 12 hour chronograph totaliser within single register at 6:00 position, 24 hour indicator (hand with arrow) built into the sub-second register at 9:00, Hour and minute hands, Chronograph flyback hand, Clear DATE numerals, Gold tone markers with luminous dots. There are altogether 8 hands on this complicated timepiece. Original dial is signed CHRONOGRAPHE 1887 1987 EBERHARD & CO, SWISS MADE.

C: Original Heavy 18k Solid Gold case in near mint condition with only very light signs of handling wear. The case measures 34mm excluding crown, 39mm including crown and 42mm lug to lug. Caseback fully hallmarked "EBERHARD & CO, CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY TESTED 604407/592, 3 ATMOS CHRONOGRAPHE, AUTOMATIC and  NAVYMASTER, 30030-C".   There are 6 original screws that hold the watch together.   Unscrew them and you see that the Inner case back has 18K / 750 hallmark.   Look at the original crown with special design + protruding points for ease of handling.  Original waterproof chronograph pushers too.  The case shows a little bit of oxidisation which gives it a little ROSE GOLD look at certain parts of the case (which can easily be removed), a sweet evidence that the watch has been stored away and hardly worn.

M: High Grade original Automatic movement is signed: 17 JEWELS SEVENTEEN SWISS, VALJOUX 7751 Chronometer Officially Tested movement with individual number as shown on case back.  Valjoux 7751 is similar to the modified version used by Omega on its Tripledate Moonphase chrono !!!!! 582. EBERHARD & CO logo on the rotor.  The movement is very clean and Keeps perfect time.   All chronograph and Moonphase functions work perfectly. Quick set button works perfectly.

Fitted with a High Grade Brand new unused black generic leather strap with its original Original Eberhard Buckle Signed "E" for Eberhard.

Extremely fine and rare, automatic SQUARE triple date moonphases by GUBELIN Ca. 1950s

D: Matt Silver dial with raised gilt five minute marks with light signs of wear.  The dial of the watch shows the date by means of a CIRCULATING hand that points at the BLUE date indices just inside of the chapters.   Apertures for the days of the week and the months, in ENGLISH. The phases of the moon appear in a crescent just above the six o'clock position. There is additionally a central Sweep second hand.   All of the complications can be advanced by means of depressing the buttons on the case sides.

C: Housed in its original Huge and Heavy CLASSIC SQUARE, 80 micron goldplated case with special heavy TEARDROP lugs design.
Original domed crystal. Original Stainless steel backcase with N.H.T 1958 inscriptions on the outside. Inner case back is signed GUBELIN SWISS ACIER INOXYDABLE, ref: 149639.   Case measures 32mm excluding crown and 45mm from lug to lug.  The original case is in its original used condition with light signs of wear, UNPOLISHED, UNABUSED.

M: Original Automatic movement signed GUBELIN TWENTY FIVE 25 jewels, SWISS MADE, ADJUSTED TO TWO (2) POSITIONS.  Gold alloy balance with micrometer regulation keeps accurate time.  All day, date, month and moonphases functions operate properly. The automatic feature is great for daily wear.
