DID YOU KNOW?:  In the early 1920s Cartier formed a joint venture company with Edward Jaeger (of Jaeger-LeCoultre) to produce movements solely for Cartier - the famed European Watch & Clock Company, Inc.  It was also during this period that Cartier began adding its own reference numbers to these watches produced under this co-operation, usually by stamping 2 sets of numbers on the case of the watches.    Due to their rarity, these early Cartier watches usually command very high value in major auction houses.
